Jai Field

Jai Field is an Australian rugby league player renowned for his electrifying speed and versatility, currently playing as a fullback or stand-off for the Wigan Warriors in the Super League. He previously played for the St. George Illawarra Dragons and Parramatta Eels in the NRL.

Field joined Wigan ahead of the 2021 season but faced an early setback with a hamstring injury on debut, sidelining him for most of the year. He made a remarkable comeback in 2022, delivering standout performances that earned him multiple accolades: Wigan Warriors Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, and the Rugby League Writers and Broadcasters Association Player of the Year. He was also named in the Super League Dream Team and shortlisted for the Man of Steel award.

Since then, Field has been instrumental in Wigan’s success, contributing to their victories in the 2023 and 2024 Super League Grand Finals, the 2022 and 2024 Challenge Cups, and the 2024 World Club Challenge.

In recognition of his impact, Field signed a four-year contract extension in January 2024, securing his place at Wigan until the end of the 2027 season, with options for 2028 and 2029.

As of May 2025, Field continues to be a key player for Wigan, recently scoring a try in their 22–20 victory over Warrington Wolves at Magic Weekend.
