Caleb Hamlin-Uele is a dynamic and powerful prop forward currently playing for Wakefield Trinity in the Super League.
Hamlin-Uele began his rugby league journey with the Glenora Bears in New Zealand, where his impressive performances earned him selection for the New Zealand Under-18s team. He continued to develop his skills in the NZRL National Premiership before relocating to Sydney in 2022 to be closer to his brother, Braden Hamlin-Uele, who plays in the NRL.
In Australia, Caleb joined the Newtown Jets, the feeder team for the Cronulla Sharks, in the NSW Cup. Over two seasons (2022–2023), he made 37 appearances and scored 8 tries, showcasing his prowess and bringing him to the fringes of NRL selection.
In 2024, Hamlin-Uele signed with Wakefield Trinity, where he made an immediate impact. During his debut season, he played 29 games, scored 5 tries, and was instrumental in the team’s success, helping them secure the 1895 Cup, the Championship League Leaders’ Shield, and a victory in the Championship Grand Final against Toulouse.
Recognising his contributions, Wakefield Trinity extended his contract through the 2025 season. In 2025, he has continued his strong form, making 12 appearances and scoring 5 tries, further solidifying his reputation as a formidable force in the Super League.
