Player Bio

Shannon Boyd (born 9 September 1992, Goulburn, NSW) is a retired Australian rugby league prop who played 125 NRL games across the Canberra Raiders (2014–2018) and Gold Coast Titans (2019–2020), and represented Australia at the 2016 Four Nations.

A Cowra Magpies junior, Boyd debuted in Round 1, 2014 for Canberra and went on to play 111 matches and score 9 tries for the Raiders. He also featured for NSW Country in the 2016 City vs Country fixture.

On the representative stage, Boyd was selected in Mal Meninga’s 24‑man Kangaroos squad and made his Test debut on 15 October 2016 versus New Zealand, later appearing in the Four Nations tournament that year.

Boyd signed with the Titans for 2019 but injuries limited him to 14 appearances across two seasons. He was released and retired on 12 August 2020 to return to his family farm, finishing with 125 NRL games.
