Player Bio
Karmichael Hunt is one of Australia’s most unique football talents, having played at the elite level across rugby league, rugby union and Australian rules football.
Hunt made his NRL debut for the Brisbane Broncos in 2004, aged just 17. He quickly became one of the game’s standout fullbacks, winning the Dally M Rookie of the Year and later a 2006 NRL Premiership with Brisbane. During his league career, he also represented Queensland in State of Origin and Australia at international level.
Hunt went on to make headline‑grabbing transitions to both AFL with the Gold Coast Suns and rugby union, playing Super Rugby with the Queensland Reds and NSW Waratahs, as well as earning Wallabies selection in 2017.
After retiring from professional playing, he moved into coaching and is currently the head coach of the Souths Logan Magpies in the Queensland Cup, while also leading the Cook Islands national rugby league team.
