Player Bio
Justin Morgan is a highly experienced rugby league professional with more than 30 years across elite football, spanning playing, coaching, high‑performance, media and football programme leadership roles in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and France.
A former international player, Justin represented Wales at test level and enjoyed a distinguished professional playing career with the Parramatta Eels, Canberra Raiders, New Zealand Warriors and Toulouse Olympique, competing at the highest domestic levels in both the NRL and abroad.
Following his playing career, Justin transitioned into coaching and football management, establishing himself as a respected defence, contact, and systems specialist. He has held senior coaching roles with Toulouse Olympique and Hull Kingston Rovers, where he was instrumental in building high‑performance standards and guiding Hull KR to promotion into the Super League.
Justin has since worked extensively within elite NRL and international environments, including coaching and programme roles with the Canberra Raiders, Melbourne Storm, New Zealand Warriors, North Queensland Cowboys and the New Zealand Kiwis. His experience spans first teams, representative programmes, and female high‑performance pathways, complemented by media and commentary work that reflects his strong communication skills and deep understanding of the modern game.
Currently, Justin serves as General Manager – Rugby at Vikings Tuggeranong, where he leads the overall strategic direction of the club’s rugby programme. His role encompasses performance framework design, coach monitoring and development, pathway alignment and the delivery of consistent football standards across all grades. Justin’s appointment reflects Vikings’ commitment to strengthening governance, professionalism and long‑term competitive success as one of Canberra’s leading rugby clubs.
