Player Bio

Corey Waddell is a hard‑working second‑row forward for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, having returned to the club ahead of the 2024 season after three years with the Canterbury‑Bankstown Bulldogs. Known for his high work rate, tough defence, and consistency, Waddell continues to be a reliable contributor in Manly’s forward pack.

Waddell made his NRL debut in Round 2 on 23 March 2019, playing for Manly against the Sydney Roosters.

Across his career, he has represented both Manly (2019–2020, 2024–present) and Canterbury (2021–2023), accumulating 134 NRL appearances and 14 tries as of September 2025.

A Penrith junior, Waddell developed through the Panthers system, earning major early recognition as the 2016 NYC Under‑20s Player of the Year.

His time at Canterbury saw him establish himself as a durable and dependable forward, making 20 appearances in 2021, 17 in 2022, and 22 in 2023.

Since returning to Manly, Waddell has continued to provide leadership, physicality, and consistent performances across the 2024 and 2025 seasons. He reached a major career milestone by surpassing 100 NRL games in 2024.
His strong form earned him a new contract, keeping him at Manly until at least the end of 2027.
