Player Bio

Caius Faatili is a dynamic and powerful prop forward who has quickly established himself as one of the breakout performers in the Super League with Wakefield Trinity. He joined the club in January 2025 from Queensland Cup side Sunshine Coast Falcons, following a standout 2024 season in which he scored eight tries in 22 appearances and ranked among the competition’s leading tackle‑busting forwards.

Despite arriving in England just two weeks before the season commenced, Faatili made an immediate impact, becoming a key figure in Wakefield’s forward pack. His explosive ball‑carrying, athleticism, and ability to beat defenders quickly made him a favourite with supporters. One of his defining moments came at Magic Weekend, where he scored a remarkable long‑range solo try in Trinity’s win over Castleford Tigers, a performance that captured widespread attention across the league.

Faatili’s form continued throughout the early rounds of the season, including multiple try‑scoring performances and a run of standout games that saw him labelled “a proper player” by head coach Daryl Powell. His impact was recognised when he was named Super League Player of the Month for May 2025, underlining his rapid rise in the competition.

In recognition of his influence both on and off the field, Wakefield Trinity moved swiftly to secure his future, announcing a three‑year contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2028 season. With his blend of power, mobility, and determination, Caius Faatili is widely regarded as a cornerstone of Wakefield Trinity’s long‑term ambitions as the club continues to build in the Super League.
