Jake currently plays in the NRL for the Bulldogs. A young, talented, Outside Back who has come through the Bulldogs Jnr Rep System. He has proved his versatility playing in the centres, on the wing and in the halves, but his preferred position is Fullback.

Averillo played 13 matches in 2020 and 21 in 2021. In his first 2 years he has racked up an impressive 10 Tries and 39 Goals. His impressive footwork and speed off the mark earnt him the title of Bulldogs Rookie of the Year in 2020. He is currently signed with the Bulldogs until the end of the 2023 Season. At the end of the 2022 Season Jake was named in the Prime Ministers XIII side.
