Dylan Egan is a dynamic young second-rower for the St George Illawarra Dragons, known for his high work rate, defensive tenacity, and strong ball-running ability. A proud product of the Gerringong Lions, Dylan has progressed through the Dragons’ development system, including the Harold Matthews Cup, SG Ball, Jersey Flegg, and NSW Cup competitions.

In 2023, he captained the Illawarra Steelers SG Ball Cup side, showcasing his leadership qualities and on-field prowess. His consistent performances earned him a spot in the Dragons’ NRL squad, and he made his first-grade debut in Round 4 of the 2025 season against the Melbourne Storm at Jubilee Stadium.

Dylan’s debut was marked by a standout performance off the bench, where he contributed 34 tackles and four tackle breaks in 49 minutes of play, earning praise from both the coaching staff and teammates. 

With a recent two-year contract extension secured, Dylan Egan is poised to become a mainstay in the Dragons’ forward pack, bringing energy, resilience, and a team-first mentality to the Red V.
