Player Bio
Courtney Crawford is one of the most respected emerging coaches in women’s rugby league, recognised for her passion for player development, leadership and commitment to building strong team cultures. A lifelong rugby league participant, Crawford has established herself as a highly regarded mentor within the female pathways system.
A long-time member of the Illawarra Steelers and St George Illawarra Dragons programs, Crawford has enjoyed significant success coaching at representative and pathway levels. She guided the Steelers Tarsha Gale Cup side to a premiership in 2024 and has played a key role in helping numerous young players progress into the NRLW.
Crawford has also coached at the representative level, including the NSW Under 19 Women’s State of Origin program, while serving as an assistant coach with the Dragons NRLW side. Her ability to connect with players and create high-performance environments has earned widespread respect throughout the game.
In 2026, Crawford was appointed Head Coach of the Illawarra Steelers Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership team, marking another significant milestone in a coaching career built on hard work, dedication and a genuine passion for helping athletes reach their potential.
