Player Bio

Lewis Dodd is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays at scrum‑half. As of the 2026 season, he represents Catalans Dragons in the Betfred Super League.

Dodd is a graduate of the St Helens academy system, joining the club in 2017 after progressing from amateur side Halton Hornets. He made his senior debut for St Helens in September 2020 during the Super League season, initially featuring off the bench before establishing himself as a regular first‑team playmaker.

He was a key part of St Helens’ most successful modern era, contributing to Super League title victories in 2021 and 2022, as well as the 2021 Challenge Cup. In February 2023, Dodd played a decisive role in St Helens’ World Club Challenge triumph, kicking the golden‑point match‑winning drop goal against NRL premiers Penrith Panthers to secure a 13–12 victory.

Across his St Helens career, Dodd made 88 appearances, scoring 30 tries and over 150 points, and was recognised for his composure, kicking accuracy and game management.

In May 2024, Dodd signed a three‑year contract with NRL club South Sydney Rabbitohs, making the move to Australia ahead of the 2025 season. He featured in six NRL matches during the campaign, with additional appearances in the New South Wales Cup, before being released from the remaining years of his contract at the end of the season.

Following his departure from the NRL, Dodd returned to Super League, joining Catalans Dragons on a one‑year deal ahead of the 2026 season, later extended through to the end of 2027.
