Lydia Turua‑Quedley is a composed and hard‑working halfback whose rise to the NRLW has been defined by determination, resilience, and consistent high‑level performance. A Cook Islands international, she built her reputation through strong performances in Auckland’s club competitions with the Richmond Roses, while also showcasing her athleticism and game understanding in rugby union with the Auckland Storm in the Farah Palmer Cup.
Her commitment and perseverance were rewarded when she earned her first NRLW contract with the New Zealand Warriors for the 2025 season, making her competition debut that year. Quickly trusted within the squad, Turua‑Quedley demonstrated calm game management, strong kicking control, and the ability to steer a team under pressure, seamlessly transitioning into the halves and performing confidently at NRLW level.
At the international level, Turua‑Quedley represented the Cook Islands at the 2022 Women’s Rugby League World Cup, an experience that highlighted her leadership qualities and composure on the global stage.
