Player Bio

William Warbrick is a powerful, athletic winger for the Melbourne Storm, contracted with the club until 2026. Standing at 193 cm and known for his strength, speed, and aerial dominance, Warbrick has quickly become one of the NRL’s most dangerous finishers.

Warbrick made his NRL debut in Round 1 of the 2023 season against the Parramatta Eels and immediately cemented himself as the Storm’s first‑choice winger. His phenomenal debut year included 17 tries in 25 games, topping the club’s try‑scoring tally and delivering a match‑winning semi‑final performance. His standout season earned him a Dally M Rookie of the Year nomination, as well as Melbourne’s Rookie of the Year and Back of the Year awards.

In 2024, Warbrick continued his rise, playing 24 matches and scoring 15 tries, while also passing the milestone of 50 NRL appearances. He was again named the Storm’s Best Back for the second consecutive year and made his New Zealand Kiwis debut during the 2024 Pacific Championships.

In 2025, Warbrick proudly represented the Māori All Stars, marking another representative achievement in his career. He also featured in the 2025 NRL Grand Final, continuing to be a major strike weapon on the edge for Melbourne.

Before switching to rugby league, Warbrick was a standout in rugby sevens. He represented the All Blacks Sevens, winning a World Series title and earning an Olympic silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. His explosive athletic background and elite aerial ability have translated seamlessly into rugby league, making him one of the most exciting cross‑code success stories of recent years.

Across 56+ NRL matches, Warbrick has amassed 37 tries and continues to establish himself as one of the premier wingers in the competition.
